What to expect when venturing a vacation in San Sebastian, Spain
The city of San Sebastian is known in Europe of having the best beaches. The city as well is designated as one of the best cities in the entire European countries, there is no question why there are various tourists coming in here all year round. The city is best described as a small, quite and pleasant. It features various fish restaurants, many beaches, plenty of pintxos bars and different designer clothes shops. The best thing you can do around the city is to visit on their incredible sightseeing. Such like;
- Ayuntamiento de San Sebastian — if you want to know the history and the traditions of the ancient La Concha Bay Town, visiting Ayuntamiento de San Sebastian or the San Sebastian Town Hall will give you some insights regarding its past history. This incredible scenery of San Sebastian nestled on Ijentea in between the bay and Alderdi Eder, known as the city garden.
- Biblioteca Municipal — this impressive architectural design is one of the example of the Tuscan architecture. It is said to be completed during the year of the 1830’s. It has been said as well that bullfights are held in here and most of the residents at the surrounding buildings rented their balconies to the viewers.
- Palacio de Miramar — this stunning palace was built during the late 19th century. It is a red brick which has an English style type of palace. It faced the bay and it is abounded with great incredible garden areas.
- Casa Casadevante — this limestone type of baroque palace was constructed in the late part of the 1600’s. It is situated in the Fuenterrabia which is only a few minutes drive from the outside part of San Sebastian.
- Casa de Okendo — this is a 16th century ancestral home which is now the sanctuary of the local Cultural Centre. The remaining facilities that it has now are being used for events like conferences, exhibitions and meetings.
- Teatro Victoria Eugenia — A historic theatre which is worthy to visit because of its impressive architectural style and stunning domed fresco found inside. The theatre is situated after the deluxe Maria Cristina Hotel.
