For holidaymakers who have not been yet in San Sebastian, you should have to let yourself experience and immerse on this beautiful region of Spain, for sure you will have a great time basking here with your family, friends or lover. To get the most of your San Sebastian holiday vacation escapade, making a list of itineraries where to go in the region is advice. Perhaps you could also add the following impressive places below.

Alde Zaharra or commonly known as the old city. This place is appointed as one of the oldest parts of San Sebastian. It one of the most impressive places to see not only in San Sebastian but through the entire the country—Alde Zaharra could be the place to be if you want palatable pintxos. Aside from savoring the pintxos, you could also visit old churches in the area as well as its little shops and Constitution Square. And if you love night life you will for sure enjoy it here.

Igeldo Mountain. Appointed as a westernmost mountain, fronting the sea—from the mountain you could see the building which can be compared to that of a castle nestling on top. Climbing on this beautiful mountain is an opportunity to view some of the amazing panorama of San Sebastian.

San Telmo Museoa. A free museum that nestled nearby the old town—visiting the museum is worthy because of its shady cloister features. But aside from that, the museum as well houses historical interesting Basque artifacts that include the horrifying birthing chair worthy to see.

The city just like the other region of Spain also has also special events to commemorate and halls where it is commemorated every year, thus the following is some of the most interesting events and shows to witness in the city.

Audience at Lugaritz—this is appointed as a cultural center, it was opened since 1993 and still on its operation up until this recent period. The center features an interesting and contemporary design. It has a digital sound system, the auditorium as well features bars inside the complex. It is an interesting auditorium that you should not miss to witness when you were here in San Sebastian.

Capella dei Turchini Baroque Orchestra at Palacio de Congresos del Kursaal—this hall is located in an awesome location overlooking at Zurriola Beach. It receives various controversies when it was built in 1999; it has a striking structure of glass and metal. It was Rafael de Congresso who designed the said hall. The Palacio houses two concert halls, shops, café, car park, restaurants, multifunctional meeting rooms and more.

Celtas Cortos at Teatro Victoria Eugenia—opened in 1912; the auditorium has always been the place for San Sebastian International Film Festival since various decades ago. It has been said that the theatre is just a temporary theatre, but recently Celtas Cortos has been used for dance, recitals, classical concerts and more. The theatre as well is designated as the official place for the Quincena Musical and the modern Contemporary Dance Festival.

San Sebastian is no ordinary city, because of its uniqueness San Sebastian caters millions of visitors coming from the different corners of the world. It is not like the events, shows and halls to be seen in the city, but you can also see the beauty of San Sebastian through the eyes of each of its friendly locales.

This is the reason why the place never been emptied by the foreigners or tourists all over the world. There are so many things to see and activities to do here, life as a tourist in San Sebastian is never been boring. Most of the locales are warm welcoming, they pamper their foreign visitors too much and they give them assurance that their stay in the city would be worthy and memorable.

But just like the other cities of Spain and the cities of every country, crimes are also visible in San Sebastian. And this is what you should be aware of. Though San Sebastian is incredibly awesome, there are things that you should be aware of about the city. Generally, San Sebastian is known as a peaceful city. As a tourist, you will notice how the people live and behave there. But the common problems of San Sebastian are pick pocketing, bag snatching and more.

If you are a first timer in San Sebastian, be always alert when you are wandering on the street. Swindlers are wise, they can easily detect if you are unaware on their malicious moves or not. If you are in the crowded areas such like in the bus stations or in the market, make sure that your bag is safe from the malicious eyes of the snatchers. And avoid placing your wallet in your back pocket.

Most of the tourists are fond of using backpack, which they didn’t know that it is vulnerable to the eyes of the snatchers, to avoid this, make sure that you lock it well or make sure that some of the significant documents are well place in the bottom of your bag. If you bring your money with you, put them on pouch, underneath your shirt and tied it in your neck.

These kinds of problems are actually very common worldwide, so it is now a question anymore and perhaps you are already aware about it. But for extra precautions, the things being mentioned above are recommended.

The San Sebastian Feast will be celebrating in San Sebastian Spain exactly during the 20th of January. The event is the best time to know better the history how Sebastian had became a saint. Sebastian was historically known as an Imperial Roman army. He was also the son of a very wealthy family and being educated in Milan. Beyond his significant and unique story, Sebastian was considered as a Saint because of his being a martyr during the Christian movement and because it is believed that his aura is the reason why a mute woman was cured. This miracle spreads all over the people and until now remains incredible and holy.
