The sparkling unspoiled and clear bay that San Sebastian has is beautifully surrounded with lush and rolling hills. Because of this, every year thousands of visitors are visiting the city. The best month to visit San Sebastian is during the months of July and August. These months are the peak season of San Sebastian, so expect that there are many crowds during this time. In the midst of the month of August, Semana Grande is celebrated. The whole week would expect to have vibrant music and sport events; there are fireworks displays as well. And the much awaiting day of August would be during the last day of the month, August 31. This day is the best day to mingle with both the locales and tourists in Semana Grande Street to witness the ceremony for San Sebastian commemoration, candles will be lit up.

Aside from the latter mentioned above, there are also some interesting places that you should not miss to see in San Sebastian.

San Sebastian Town Hall—the town hall was inaugurated in 1897 and one of the most popular landmarks in San Sebastian. Previously a casino and eventually closed due to gambling prohibition laws in1924. It was then refurbished and was opened again as the Town Hall. Since then, it continues its role until this present time.

The Island of Santa Clara—this island can be found offshore in the core of the La Concha Bay. It can be reached starting from the pier which is situated on the eastern side of the isle. The island is the place to be of the magnificent beaches within the area. But because of the tides, the island could only be enjoyable every part of the day.

The Zurriola Bridge—this bridge is also called as the Kursaal Bridge. The Zurriola Bridge was built on the Kursaal Casino site. The impressive about the bridge since it is proud of showing off the original lamps expressionist and contemporary style shed at the Urumea mouth.

These are just some of the interesting façade that you should not miss to view in San Sebastian for your travel holidays vacation.

The city of San Sebastian is famous through its strong Basque character. It is the capital of Guipuzcoa and designated also as the Paìs Vasco cultural center. San Sebastian is one of the stunning cities in Spain. Since it is located in the part of the country where white sandy beaches stretches and where Igeldo and Urgull hills are visible. With the combination of mountains and sea, San Sebastian boasts off something for their tourists such like sports, gastronomy, monuments, and landscapes.

San Sebastian is the main place for the Vasca gastronomy. When it comes about food, the city is the number one destination in Spain. The people living here are proud to share the food that they serve as well as the unique experience they can surely experience while they were here in San Sebastian. Historically, the city of San Sebastian had been experiencing heavy wars or battles against its invaders and due to that; there are various places that has been devastated by the said horrible happening. A lot of monuments and landmarks had been damaged and many people are suffering due to the attacked. Eventually, as the years gone by San Sebastian stand again and reign again as one of the best travel tourism in Spain.

Despite all those events there are still some remains of the city that became one of the stunning views of San Sebastian. Some examples of the remains are the Santa Maria del Coro, the churches of San Sebastian; the old Casino which is recently became the City Hall, the Neoclassical City Hall, the San Telmo Museum, the Kursaal and the Peine de los Vientos. But the mot famous part of the city is its bay. Did you know that, the most beautiful bays all over the world lay here in San Sebastian? Yes indeed! No doubt every year this piece of Spain is famous for all the tourists all over the world.

In this Spanish city, almost everything is done by affection and dedication.

Hotels in San Sebastian are made to please the sense of seeing of those who deem to notice the architecture of the place. Travel in San Sebastian is a profound experience both of the physical and mental being.

Those who love history and literature would fall in love with San Sebastian as most of the tourist attractions are full of untold stories that makes hearts’ ache.

The Ayutamiento, the 19th century City Hall; Biblioteca Municipa, Municipal Library; Castillo de Santa Cruz de la Mota,Castle of the Holy Cross; Murallas del Puert, Port Walls; and Palacio de Justicia, Courts of Law are some of the most famous landmarks.

Landmarks and Historical sites are the best of San Sebastian. Getting a glimpse of these landmarks means getting acquainted with the past and the significant events that San Sebastian as it is now!

Besides the tourist attractions that you must see and visit for a satisfying vacation or holiday in San Sebastian like the Aquarium located in Paseo del Muelle; Naval Museum; Museo de San Telmo; Mont Urgull, Arantzazu and Jaizquiben; San Sebastian is a splendid location for beach strolling and hopping.

What I like most in San Sebastian is the privacy that some of us need, that we could not get from the other cities in Spain. This unique character of San Sebastian made it a favorite honeymoon destination of newly weds.

For me, the orange backdrop made by the sun setting is a good scene for painting and personal musings. A burnt out spirit can be enliven in the beautiful background of the place.

San Sebastian is just perfect for those who love a day in a beach with the sea gulls and doves. Indeed sharing a haven with these lovely creatures.

If other Spanish cities boasted of their skyscrapers, tall architecture and bursting nightlife; San Sebastian is humble in its deep cultural heritage in a natural backdrop of miles of sandy beaches and its green scenery.
