This is the reason why the place never been emptied by the foreigners or tourists all over the world. There are so many things to see and activities to do here, life as a tourist in San Sebastian is never been boring. Most of the locales are warm welcoming, they pamper their foreign visitors too much and they give them assurance that their stay in the city would be worthy and memorable.

But just like the other cities of Spain and the cities of every country, crimes are also visible in San Sebastian. And this is what you should be aware of. Though San Sebastian is incredibly awesome, there are things that you should be aware of about the city. Generally, San Sebastian is known as a peaceful city. As a tourist, you will notice how the people live and behave there. But the common problems of San Sebastian are pick pocketing, bag snatching and more.

If you are a first timer in San Sebastian, be always alert when you are wandering on the street. Swindlers are wise, they can easily detect if you are unaware on their malicious moves or not. If you are in the crowded areas such like in the bus stations or in the market, make sure that your bag is safe from the malicious eyes of the snatchers. And avoid placing your wallet in your back pocket.

Most of the tourists are fond of using backpack, which they didn’t know that it is vulnerable to the eyes of the snatchers, to avoid this, make sure that you lock it well or make sure that some of the significant documents are well place in the bottom of your bag. If you bring your money with you, put them on pouch, underneath your shirt and tied it in your neck.

These kinds of problems are actually very common worldwide, so it is now a question anymore and perhaps you are already aware about it. But for extra precautions, the things being mentioned above are recommended.

Magical moments are considered few and some just happen to experience it here in this part of Bilbao Spain. Some tourists took note that most of the San Sebastian Hotels’s owners have a personal touch with their accommodation. They usually offer free good and practical travel advice.

Some prefer to experience a beach dinner and hop from one restaurant to another. San Sebastian indeed stood to their reputation as having the best food that you can find on a Spain map. The architecture, atmosphere and culture offer a perfect place not only for vacation but also for a lifetime and retirement destination. One just can conjure images of quiet walk along San Sebastian downtown and feel the peace that retiring couple seeks. For the young and party couple, you only have to strut further along San Sebastian’s streets and you can find a niche similar to your lifestyle. No doubt that San Sebastian real estate is very much thriving and welcoming all those who took interest.

Many first time tourists admired the beautiful landscape and the picturesque beaches of San Sebastian. Sometimes tourist yet has to be forced to take a break in taking pictures and most enjoy a good view while feeding themselves with the best food that they had tasted.

With the biggest musical events- Jazzaldia or better known to the world as the San Sebastian Jazz Festival, the city will again welcome thousands if not millions of visitors. The festival will be held from July 25th to the 29th of this year; this year will be their 42nd edition which they worked on to be the most outstanding, complete and famous among all the festival.

Again, the festival is another successful event to be crowned on San Sebastian City, Spain.

La Concha Beach is a wonder to behold all year round. Travelers, to this Donostia place, need to choose the months and season in visiting the place. The beach is a major attraction so visiting it means you can enjoy its water and sand during your visit.

During summer it is so alive with tourist activities. And it is the best season to hop a cheap flight to San Sebastian though if you want tranquility, peace and more space for movement and touring, better choose another season. Though the whole year round temperature and climate is moderate compared to other European cities still summer is the most visited and most popular season to be here in this place. And San Sebastian hostels are fully booked.

For budgeted travel, this city located in the northern of Spain also has a good place for backpackers and other travelers; they believe that San Sebastian hostels and villa accommodation is more pleasurable than staying in a luxury hotel- this is one opinion of a traveler. Some also says that staying in a luxury hotel is the best experience ever to bask in Spanish hospitality.

Visiting the Museo Oceanografico is also on the tourist itinerary in going to this wonderful Spanish land with hundreds of underwater fauna and fauna. Though we can vary on WHAT ACTIVITIES to indulge in this place- I spent my time in San Sebastian feeling and experiencing the city’s culture. Instead of hurrying from one tourist destination to another I sat on a café’s and sipped chocolate while gazing at the flurry of activities from the locales and tourists.

Then set for a Spanish restaurant that serves the local food and delicacy after around 10 pm. Make sure that the restaurant you enter is full of romantic and rapid speaking happy Spaniards. If the locales went for it the food is good, cheap and delightfully very Spanish.

Then perhaps get yourself in a disco bar and experience the lively nightly and dancing. After meeting the locales here- which I admit are very friendly and hospitable- then head off for your San Sebastian hostel to rest for the night and dream about the next’ activity in this city.

Try checking out some stories about this Donostia City.

I had been to so many places and big cities. Yet this town, if I may call it as such, has its own certain mysterious appeal to many who had visited it.

The place is simple perfect for me and to any tourist who knows how to appreciate beauty in its simplest form. Let us take a closer look on what to do and what to see in San Sebastian.

Beaches. If you are thinking of a San Sebastian Holiday better booked in a hotel with a seaside front. The beaches in this town are just simply great and perfect for families and couples. But do consider the season when you visit San Sebastian. If you wanted a crowded city when you arrived then better head off here when everybody is clamoring to be on the beach during summer season.

Holidays. It was great spending a meaningful Christmas and New Year Holidays in this town. The people are naturally hospitable and very nice. You do not have to be in a big hotel to experience the Spanish Holidays. San Sebastian Holiday is extremely unique and festive.

Sights. Spectacular Historical architecture and places in the town such as Iglesia Parroquial San Salvador, Mercados de la Brecha y Pescaderia, Palacio de Miramar, Ayutamiento, Biblioteca Municipa and Jaizquiben.

Activities. Water Activities are very popular in this part of Spain. Mountain trekking is also an optional activity. Mount Urgull is such exemplar towering peak. Try riding a funicular going up on this mountain. Though there are times that it is not available.

Accommodation. It is best to know how long you will be staying in the town or how much are you going to spend. There are luxury hotels in the area. A hostel and a pension are an ideal place to stay with limited budget. For rent villas are also available.

Flights. You can enjoy your San Sebastian Holiday for as low as 194 pounds from UK and other cheap flights going to this place are available for online booking.

Some tourist finds San Sebastian a quieter destination to enjoy the Spanish living. Though it is true that it can get a bit crowded during summer season, still it is much comfortable place to frolic in the sea and for touring than other Spanish cities.

San Sebastian is located on the northeastern part of the province facing partof the Atlantic Ocean and country of France.

If you are visiting the city for a short tour or short trip itinerary then make sure that the San Sebastian Hotel you are planning to stay is near the shore line or with a beach front so you can enjoy the beach while you are on your hotel.

Another thing is if the “short trip” means a few days of touring the city then perhaps car rental San Sebastian would make the tour much more enjoyable and efficient. Traveling time is lessened thus visiting more tourist spots in a short time.

With that being noted; let us go to see what major key tourist destination we should visit or activities while we are in the city.

The city is best known for surfing and a loved place of the beach combers. Yet, if you have your fill of beach and its activities then make sure that you visit these major attractions in the city.

The Aquarium- is the one of the must-see destination of the place. The mere technology and collection of marine life will interest adults and young alike. After visiting this place you may then go and see what’s keeping the people of San Sebastian busy for hundreds of years and their history in Museo de San Telmo. The Naval Museum is also a good place to head off after the visits of those two places. It displays naval artifacts and photos of the seafaring tradition of the Basque country.

I recommend that you visit Mount Urgull the next day. And you can take all your time climbing to top and capture moments on top of this mountain. A bird’s eye view of the Bahía de la Conch and the rest of the city are best videoed or photographed here.
