Blessed with green lushes, rolling hills, captivating landscapes and warm welcoming people San Sebastian is a rushing vacation destination. The population of the city ranging approximately from 185, 000 with great contemporary infrastructure, dynamic nightlife and more. Yet despite the modernity that the city has the old world appeal that it has remains.

If you were in San Sebastian, you should not miss to visit and see the following attractions.

San Sebastian’s Aquarium

The aquarium is one of the highlights of the city that you should not miss to visit. It is a large place which is filled with subtropical species. The aquarium as well features a naval museum where you could find a whale skeleton placed in the center. It is better to climb on the second floor so that you can really have a good sight of it. Wander around this huge aquarium and let your feet lead you to the big glass tunnel which has been abounding with hundreds of various kinds of fish species. If you were here do not forget to bring your camera with you since this is a nice place to take photos, just make sure that the camera you are using is still good even when you take photos without a flash.

San Sebastian’s Beaches

There are three great beaches San Sebastian has and they are the Playa de Gros, Ondaretta and of course the Playa de la Concha. Most of the beaches in the city are awesome! You will never regret of choosing the place where you would wanted to soak and drench yourself for swimming. In fact, there are millions of travelers and vacationers who enjoyed their stay here and some of them are already been here before, since they like the topography and the temperature of the city, it makes them draw back to visit the place for more. Water sports and any other water activities are available in San Sebastian beaches.

San Sebastian’s Old Quarter

This is another best spot that you should not miss to see in the city of San Sebastian. If you were here, you can feel that the atmosphere is changing in both the night and day. If you wake up early during the day, you could feel the cold cozy atmosphere that the city has. You could head to their cafes and sip some coffee while chatting with your friends or some of the locales. You can also directly go to the Plaza de la Constitucion where it features a relaxing environment both at night and day.

It is not just a city who offers lot of attractions but rather a place that specializes to convince travelers to visit, relax and capture community way of life. This is no uncertainty in part suitable to the fact of being one of the famous destinations for Spanish and several foreign tourists. San Sebastian recently is home to main ferry port of La Gomera with standard ferries that came from Los Cristianos. Even though it is not a tourist centre it also offers great variety of bars, shops, restaurants, beach, large public lido and yacht marina. San Sebastian is a Spain summer capital where it lives on the Belle Epoque.

San Sebastian obtains a La Parte Vieja, an old quarter with a hidden plaza, medieval houses and narrow streets. But mainly it is a modern city of wide boulevards, elegant shops, sidewalks restaurants and cafes. San Sebastian hotels have best thought not sufficient choice of hotels this summer vacation for several tourists who are interested to visit and explore with their lots of excellent restaurants that most of the dish is expensive. One of the famous attractions of San Sebastian is the city’s most popular beach called La Concha that which most of the tourists spend under the striped canopies of the refreshingly cool waters in the beach. The La Concha shell-shaped by a promenade is half-encircled where some crowds crush during night time. Playa de Ondaretta is the nearby beach of La Concha. The San Sebastian climate is more Atlantic. Ideally, San Sebastian is a best travel destination to several of the most fascinating towns of Basque country.

A wide selection of this place can offer such as stunning beaches, beautiful scenery, party all night and range of entertainments.

As a saying goes… “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” What an appropriate quote for San Sebastian as they say, the way to a travelers heart is through his stomach.

San Sebastian’s culinary expertise blended so much with its peaceful and quaint street. The food in San Sebastian never fails to delight guest all over the world. Famous chefs are happy to note that the city has its own taste and style in the culinary industry that attracts visitor to hit the city.

The city is an established destinations way back in 1800’s, many thanks to the British Royalty. Food is a serious affair for the natives of this Spanish city to the amazement and delight of the guest and travelers. For the best “asador” in town drop by Sidreria Donostiarra and for the best Iberian ham sandwich head off to La Cepa. Not to mention pintxos restaurants.

I had never eaten such a big and delicious meal in my entire life, only here in San Sebastian. The colors and scents of the food just left me senseless. I am just so glad of the city’s hotel accommodation; it just perfectly blended with my activities. Right after a full day ahead and full stomach; the hotel’s room is just a heavenly resting place to rest.

Another reason to fall for this Donostian City is their cheap hotel accommodation. A hotel near the Miramar Palace Gardens and a few minutes walk to the beach with spacious facilities and swimming pool: in which Barceló Costa Vasca Hotel qualifies on these criteria. A classy, continental and modern style hotel with classic-styled to rest after a days tour of San Sebastian would make a travelers day- then booked at Tryp Orly.

My words can never describe the loveliness of this Donostian city. It was a destination of those who wanted quiet and great architecture in one. Privacy and fu!

Which made San Sebastian shine- the food? Architecture? Or the beaches? Pick one and tell the world of your fun.

In this Spanish city, almost everything is done by affection and dedication.

Hotels in San Sebastian are made to please the sense of seeing of those who deem to notice the architecture of the place. Travel in San Sebastian is a profound experience both of the physical and mental being.

Those who love history and literature would fall in love with San Sebastian as most of the tourist attractions are full of untold stories that makes hearts’ ache.

The Ayutamiento, the 19th century City Hall; Biblioteca Municipa, Municipal Library; Castillo de Santa Cruz de la Mota,Castle of the Holy Cross; Murallas del Puert, Port Walls; and Palacio de Justicia, Courts of Law are some of the most famous landmarks.

Landmarks and Historical sites are the best of San Sebastian. Getting a glimpse of these landmarks means getting acquainted with the past and the significant events that San Sebastian as it is now!

Besides the tourist attractions that you must see and visit for a satisfying vacation or holiday in San Sebastian like the Aquarium located in Paseo del Muelle; Naval Museum; Museo de San Telmo; Mont Urgull, Arantzazu and Jaizquiben; San Sebastian is a splendid location for beach strolling and hopping.

What I like most in San Sebastian is the privacy that some of us need, that we could not get from the other cities in Spain. This unique character of San Sebastian made it a favorite honeymoon destination of newly weds.

For me, the orange backdrop made by the sun setting is a good scene for painting and personal musings. A burnt out spirit can be enliven in the beautiful background of the place.

San Sebastian is just perfect for those who love a day in a beach with the sea gulls and doves. Indeed sharing a haven with these lovely creatures.

If other Spanish cities boasted of their skyscrapers, tall architecture and bursting nightlife; San Sebastian is humble in its deep cultural heritage in a natural backdrop of miles of sandy beaches and its green scenery.
