There are two famous beaches that never been emptied in San Sebastian these are the La Concha – which is known as a warm and clean area of beach. And the La Zurriola beach – which is ideal for those surf lovers. The place shows off high waves that’s why it is the top pick of most of the surfers from all over the world. The said beach resort caters rentals for surf boards and body boards. And if you do not know how to surf or you do not have any idea about it, you can enroll about surfing classes.

Another activity that you can do in San Sebastian is hiking. They have captivating mountains which you can hike. If you are at the peak of the mountain, you will have the chance to view the statue of Christ that stands firm amidst the two beaches. It takes a little longer when you hike up to the mountain but everything is worthy. While if you go down your steps are faster; if you are too tired and you need a rest, you can always stop or drop by for a drink and snacks in the various little bars along the mountain.

The Zurriola hill is also a must see, hiking on this hill will give you the opportunity to view the incredible sights that you cannot see when you are in the low level. Hiking the hill takes an hour but you can ride a bus if you think it is tiring. Visiting stunning and rolling mountains in San Sebastian is a good idea if you seek for nature scenery yet in an adventurous way. So if you think of something unique activity in the city, hiking is a must try.

Summer is the most crowded place for San Sebastian. For me there are 6 major things to do here. First, traveling and touring the place is one way of getting to know Northern Spain. San Sebastian, I could say represent popularly this part of the Spanish land. The history and it culture are good enough for a traveler for two or three days of touring.

Surfing is another activity that captivates the tourists here. Many people and tourist visits the place to learn how to surf or practice surfing. San Sebastian is an international destination for surfing. There are even surfing festivals that are held her every year. Neophytes are also welcome in discovering the world of surfing for there are available instructors in the resorts located in this city.

Fourth, Dance lessons are also popular in this part of the Basque country. There are lessons for the traditional Spanish dances that tourists can enroll and participate. Try dancing the Flamenco, folklore, Classical Spanish Dance, XVII Century Dances, Castanets and Classical Ballet.

Exploring the Basque country and the diverse scenery it has; is also one activity that many indulge. Trekking and country exploring is becoming popular now days. With the right guide, you will surely enjoy this activity.

International students also flock to this Basque country to study or to learn Spanish for short term or long term courses. The universities her are really the first of the universities that sprung decades ago. So, it is not surprising when it maintains a high-scholastic standard that attracts students worldwide.

It was known that this quiet place has some well-kept jewels that need to be discovered.

Yet, sometimes time is of essence so we try to take a little peak of a city and try to come back some other time. We were in Bilbao and were waiting for my parents to finish their business conference. My other siblings with the company of one Spanish student decided for San Sebastian travel for a day.

I was doubtful of the idea at first for usually when we say TOUR SAN SEBASTIAN it means a thorough travel, shopping and visiting of places of interest. How can we get to see San Sebastian in just a little time?

So, we packed a few essentials to start our journey and decided to ride the night bus. We arrive around 8 in the morning where things started to liven up. So we went to the nearest restaurant, actually we targeted this restaurant for it was recommended by a friend, Bodegon Alejandro. This opened our San Sebastian travel.

After a while we went to ride the funicular and went up the mountain. Up there is an amusement park. We just stayed to sample the activities and other things offered up there. We then decided to hunt the beaches.

The beaches are San Sebastian’s glory. Nothing can surpass its magnificence beauty. We then went to take pictures of the old architectures. Well, at first my company weren’t so kin on going through architecture hunting but when they and a glimpse of the churches and buildings in San Sebastian they were hooked.

We went to Playa Ondarreta and Playa de la Zurriola and rest for a while after our adventures on top of the mountain. The water is really wonderful. We saw so little tourists that we thought we were he only ones there. So, we got to enjoy the beach.

It was 4 pm and decided to feed ourselves. Lunch was quite informal so we head off to some restaurants with flaunting menu to taste some Spanish food offered. It…was…definitely…a …WOW! A gastronomic delight…

Then we waited for the bars to open and take pictures of the lights and structures so staying and enjoying the night life are out of the question as hop the bus going home. Definitely, it was just a taste of San Sebastian travel.

Questions like, Can you build sand castles alongside cultural castles in the city? Can you take off your sandals and walk freely on the seaside? Or perhaps watch the sunset while sitting down and wait for the last rays of the sun? Or perhaps stand still for a moment feel the sea breeze and watch the untouched horizontal mixed sceneries of mountains, sea and buildings as you go out from your language class?

This Donostia city is not known only for its great beaches and nerve cracking nightlife with out mention of it many gardens and trekking activity but it is a center of education for language learning. This summer some students will flocked to San Sebastian for some brush course of languages. Spanish language having the most number of students! Activities besides the usual tourist’s activities also include studying of cuisines.

San Sebastian has the great restaurants and even received international recognition. Thus, there are school around San Sebastian which offers a short course for cooking basque food and Spanish foods. Perhaps some tapa preparation and the famous paella- yes, cooking course are also famous her in San Sebastian. Ask your travel agency for a good recommendation of schools.

Restaurant hopping or those seeking a gastronomic delight go to San Sebastian. It is proven tested, tasted- San Sebastian has the most delicious cuisine and food in the Spanish land.

Studying how to cook and speak a language in the city are just few of the favorites of some tourists. The usual must-experience activities in town also include surfing, which has been a favorite destination of famous international surfers; sailing; sun bathing; architecture hunt; and visits to gardens.

From beach hopping to rocking nightlife- they are present in this quaint town. In fact, the city has the best beaches in Europe. Then what made San Sebastian a place entirely unique from other Spanish city? Beach combers can swim and sunbathe right next to the main historical architecture. You can actually enjoy the sights while enjoying the sun and sand in this city. And spread across this small city is the best of designer clothes shop, fish restaurants, array of pintxos bar, and of course miles of beautiful beaches.

So, swimming, shopping, sightseeing, pintxos hopping, architecture hunting and water activities like surfing, sailing are available right next to you. Hotels in San Sebastian are also plenty so you can choose from all types of accommodation. San Sebastian villas are also for rent if you wanted to stay longer in a cheap and yet comfortable accommodation.

Transportation in San Sebastian is not also a problem. From the bus, car for rents and even the railway station are very near and secure for travel. Some though prefer to fly in and out San Sebastian. Shopping centres for souvenirs are also located in the airport so those business men and rushing tourist can buy gifts to bring home while waiting for your flight home right in the airport. Though, more chances for a thorough shopping is also available in the city’s centre shops.

Nightlife is also a buzzing niche in this city. To my surprise you can have a choice of different ambiance, music and activity in every bar you chose to enter. Rocking music and fun for those party butterflies and bees that happen to land in this city; or you may simply take a detour and enjoy the sights of hastening activities and step of both the locales and tourist while sipping margarita in a restaurant balcony.

You can go to the nearest beaches or perhaps go to the bars or just simply just walk around and sight seeing. These are the top three activities that you can do in San Sebastian; go to the beaches, or simply walk around and see the city’s beautiful structures.

Beaches. San Sebastian has one of the finest beaches in Spain; you will find three beaches, the Playa Ondaretta, Playa de Gros and Playa de la Concha. The biggest, most crowded and famous of all these beaches in San Sebastian is the Playa de la Concha.

You can see most of the tourists and the locals in this beach, activities include surfing and many others. If you want to be in a quieter beach, it would be the Playa de Gros and Playa de la Ondaretta is best only if you are up for a swim, this has a little sand-space when it comes to water activities.

Bars. The bars that are being mentioned here are the Tapas bars which they call Pintxos bars. San Sebastian is proud of having been one of the places where it has the best tapas bars in Spain. There are plenty of tapas bars which you can find around the city, they serve the usual tapas such as olives to chorizos and not the typical such as to sea urchins and many more.

Architectural Structures. We all know that Spain has one of the best architectural structures in Europe and San Sebastian is not an exemption. You will find the Catedral del Buen Pastor which is a church that is from the neo gothic period. You will also get to see more of these structures in the eastern part of the place, which is the old part of the city.

These are the top things that you can do in San Sebastian, to be able to enjoy the place, do what the locals do, go to the beaches, eat where they eat like the in tapas bars and walk where they walk, see the attractions that this place can offer and it would be worth the trip.

The popular water activities that are popular in San Sebastian especially in Tenerife are jet skiing, parasacending, scuba diving and the most recent one, underwater scooter.

You can rent some jet skis along the beaches of Tenerife, you can rent one of these jet skis and race around the buoys that they have put up, you can have the a passenger which of any age yet one can only rent the jest ski when they are sixteen years old and above. Riding one of these jet skis comes handy and gives you an adrenaline rush.

Parascending is also one of the popular water activities; this is for all ages from the age of five to eighty years old. This is safe and easy; you can have a great view of the Playa de las Americas once you get above the water. This can take about ten minutes and good for two persons.

Scuba diving is also one of the famous water activities this is because San Sebastian has plenty of dive sites that are for beginners and experienced divers. They also have instructors that can accompany and teach you how to dive.

The most recent water activity is the underwater scooter, if you don’t want to try diving yet you want to see what’s beneath the water, this is for you. This underwater scooter has a bubble of air on top, it’s like a glass which is full of air and it will be sealed except from your stomach and below which is water. Diving instructors will also be there to guide you in going down five meters and it’s easy and not possible to loose control of the water.
