EVENTS OF SEPTEMBER

6th - 14th of September: Parties Vasco (Euskal Jaiak)

All starts with the Day of Sidra, that gives way to a series of activities that show the best of Basque folklore.The main aim of this festival is to show the public, various sports and folk expressions that exist in this part of Spain.

Venue: Old Town.

7th of September: Parties of Txomin Enea

It all starts with the traditional txupinazo to continue after the parade and heads. One of the most unique and fun of this holiday is the txupiguarro. Here, young Donostia face a battle without equal, having as a weapon: water, flour and eggs. On the other hand, it should be noted that the tortillas and desserts are requested by the audience. Other act that is interesting is the musical concerts. Finally, everything ends with a dinner and a popular ballroom dancing. Also, the fireworks are responsible for close to culminate in these celebrations.

8th of September: Virgin of Arrate Festivity

First two Sundays in September: Boat Races

The Thursday before the first Sunday in September is the competition that ranks the drifters who will fight to get the famed flag of La Concha. After the first two Sundays of the month, the Bay of La Concha becomes the meeting point for the top eight boats of the season. In the end, one of them will be the winner and will take the title to be the best boat rowing in bank deposits.

During the second half of September: International Film Festival

This festival is a gathering of the films that possess features the highest category (A) given by the FIAPF, or also known as the International Federation of Film Producers Associations. Meanwhile, here there are several films that have been projected that soon after became big hits. Some of these productions displayed were Star Wars of George Lucas, Melinda and Melinda, from Woody Allen, Batman, from Tim Burton, and The Legend of Zorro. In general, it is one of the cultural events of greater emphasis on Spanish territory, an act which is highlighted by the active participation of the population Donostia. Celebrations of Martutene

EVENTS IN NOVEMBER

1st of November: Gaztainerre in Eibar

The second Monday after the feast of All Saints' Day is the celebration of Gaztainerre. Its main feature is to eat a dinner, where the chestnuts and snails are reaching the plate. It should be noted that these celebrations are held throughout Spain but with greater force in Eibar.

9th of November: Extremadura Migas Festival

This holiday is characterized by the supply of the famous crumbs. This dish, which is exquisite for many people, is exhibited to the public so that they can enjoy and sample. 22th of November: Feast of Santa Cecilia in Eibar, Ermua and Deba

EVENTS IN DECEMBER

First Saturday of December: Concepcion Fair in Mendaro
